GUNFLINT TRAILS!
In Northeastern Minnesota
The Gunflint Trail is a 63-mile, two-lane, paved highway which stretches from Grand Marais, Minnesota, into the eastern corridor of the BWCAW and Superior National Forest. Along the way there are a few resorts and restaurants for travelers and local folks alike. The scenic beauty and solitude of the area, along with the down-home hospitality you are sure to experience, will make the Gunflint Trail one of your favorite destinations.

Directions:
From Duluth travel Highway 61, the North Shore Drive, 2 hours to Grand Marais, Minnesota. As you enter Grand Marais, watch for the left-hand turn at the bottom of the hill, for County Road 12, the Gunflint Trail. Be sure to take a break in Grand Marais, and gas up.

From Grand Marais...
43 Miles to Gunflint Pines ~
Turn right off the Gunflint Trail onto County Road 50, the South Gunflint Lake Road. Travel a short mile to Gunflint Pines Resort.
44 Miles to Moosehorn Lodge Bed & Breakfast ~Turn right off of the Gunflint Trail onto County Road 46, the North Gunflint Lake Road. Travel about 1.5 miles. You'll skirt the west end of Gunflint Lake and cross a small bridge. Follow the signs to Moosehorn Lodge.
62 Miles to Voyageur Canoe Outfitters ~Turn right off of the Gunflint Trail onto County Road 11, the Sag Lake Trail. The road will lead you around the bends about 1 mile to the Top of the Trail Public Landing. Pass by the landing and follow the signs to Voyageur Canoe Outfitters.
