| Forested Trails
The Upper Gunflint Trail offers approximately 35 miles of trail riding; curving and dipping through the Superior National Forest. The lower trails, another 60 miles. The trails take you through old stands of virgin red and white pine; across frozen wilderness ponds and the occasional logging road. It is a great ride for those who wish to relax and enjoy the scenery at a moderate pace. |

Lake Trails For those who prefer the occasional freedom and speed, the open expanses of the area lakes allow you to zip across frozen water over five miles in length with powder flying. Hold onto your helmets because you may be in for a rough ride! |

Obtain a Remote Area Border Crossing Permit and your options of exploring are endless. Snowmobilers will have the opportunity to travel for mile upon mile on trails seldom seen by others. The elusive Canadian lynx was spotted numerous times last winter and other wildlife abounds.
