GUNFLINT TRAILS!
Minnesota's finest snow conditions.
Weather and Trail Conditions

The weather can vary widely along the length of the Gunflint Trail (county road 12). Often it can be snowing at one end and sunny on the other. Temperatures in Grand Marais are often 10 - 15 degrees different than "up the Trail." If you don not see much in the way of snow on the North Shore, do not get discouraged, good snow is just over the hill. Our elevation and distance from Lake Superior gives us the snowfall advantage. Average snowfall is 130 inches.

Current trail conditions are available by calling 1-800-897-7669.
